Collection of personal information:

Bemidji Community Education collects and uses personal information with adequate notice and consent, when applicable. For example, when you register, we will ask you to provide personal information to complete these transactions. This information will include contact information about you and your children such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address; financial information such as your credit card number; and other unique information such as user IDs and passwords.  

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING PHOTOS:  We occasionally take photos and use them in our publicity such as program brochures or on the website.  If you do not want your child's photo to be used, you must email us at robin_frisco@isd31.net and let us know.  We will assume consent unless we hear from you.  Names will never be used.

How we use your information:

Bemidji Community Education may use your information to:

-      Help register you or any member or your family to the classes, products and services offered through this web site.

-      Assist you in completing a transaction or order

-      Communicate with you about classes, products, etc.

-      Provide service and support

Credit card information is used only for payment processing and fraud prevention. Credit card information and other sensitive personal information required to process a transaction and is not used for any other purpose. 

Keeping your personal information secure:

To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, to maintain data accuracy, and to ensure the appropriate use of the information, Bemidji Community Education utilizes appropriate physical, technical and administrative procedures to safeguard the information we collect.

We use a 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, provided by Verisign, the largest provider of Security to the Internet world during the entire registration process.   Our software vendor, rSchoolToday, is also PCI complaint, which is the top Federal standard for credit card security for Personal Cardholder Information. 

SSL encryption is designed to make the information unreadable by anyone who might gain access to the data.  This security measure is working when you see the symbol of either an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser) at the bottom of your browser window. 

Credit card numbers are used only for processing payments and are not used for other purposes. Credit Card numbers are stored as encrypted and will show to you and to us as with only the last four digits (For example: VISA XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-3456). This service gives you and Bemidji Community Education an extra level of security to guard against credit card fraud and to protect your financial data.
